DEAR UNITED CHURCH

We would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU.

Since the beginning of the lockdown period, we’ve known that the steps moving forward would not be easy.

With so many moving parts and many variables to consider, we’ve faced the complexity of navigating a diverse church.

Yet, you’ve made it feel so easy. We understand that some might have been apprehensive, yet you remained positive that we will see this season through.

Your unwavering and continuous support and generosity from the get-go have made it possible for us to transition online and collect and distribute food packs to those inside and outside of our church.

For this, we say THANK YOU.

I wish you could see the look on some people's faces when they received a bag of food.

With the country having transitioned to Level 3, many people can now return to work.

HOWEVER, MANY FAMILIES STILL FEEL THE EFFECTS OF THIS PANDEMIC.

Therefore, we’ve endeavoured to continue creating avenues to support those in need, not only during this time but beyond this time.

OUR SOLUTION

We’ve designated a specific bank account which we will use for our community & justice projects going forward.

This will be focused on channeling resources toward all community-related projects, from food packs to winter clothing drives to pothole repairs.

WE BELIEVE THAT THE CHURCH NEEDS TO BE A SOLUTION WITHIN IT’S CONTEXT, and this is the first step toward us becoming the solution.

This will also help us ensure that all funds that are received, go directly toward their intended purpose, and don’t get confused with the church’s day-to-day running costs. This means that tithes and offering go toward running and sustaining church, and over & above funds for community projects go toward uplifting the community.

So, from here onwards, we ask that all money given toward COMMUNITY IMPACT PROJECTS (food bags, etc) be given into the following account:

United Community Impact

ABSA Bank

Acc No: 9234 5941 07

Branch Code: 632005

Reference: (Name + Project) eg. John FoodPack

ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUOUS PARTNERSHIP & SUPPORT AS WE CONTINUE TO CULTIVATE UNITY & HOPE WITH THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS.

Regards

Randy Rooibaatjie | Lead Pastor
